Ramadan is that the most wonderful time of the year. BUT is it for our kids? As parents, are we putting enough effort to instill a love for Ramadan for our kids? the truth is that we, the oldsters , are competing for the eye of our youngsters , and our religious festivals are competing with the eye of other more glittery celebrations of the West. we would like to form the Islamic festivals a true a part of our children’s lives. we would like to make memories, want our youngsters to like our festivals and our deen, but unsure the way to set about it. So how can we inspire our youngsters to like Ramadan?
Those folks who sleep in non-Muslim countries, we all know that, to our youngsters Ramadan and Eid can look dull as compared to Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc. there's little to no recognition of the Muslim holidays outside of our homes and masjids. Unlike Muslim countries, where markets, streets, television and therefore the general population all foster a way of connection to the month of blessing, Ramadan and Eid travel by mostly unnoticed within the circle of our kid’s friends.
